Life Before KickStart
How was your body before Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
Before I started TKN March 2018 my body was out of shape and had no muscle tone. I was 20 pounds overweight and did not have a good relationship with food.
How did that (state of being) make you feel?
That state of being was exhausting. I was always comparing myself to my friends who were in great shape, wishing I looked like them. I was embarrassed to wear a bikini and as a result lost out on time in the pool and at the beach with my 7 year old daughter.
Was there anything you were unable to do that you wish you could have done?
I wished I could prance around in a bikini and wear short shorts.
During that time, how did your current state of being affect those around you?
During that time my insecurities took away precious time from my family. I said no and declined offers to do things that involved wearing a bathing suit.
The Moment Everything Changed
How did you hear about Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
I heard about TKN from my very good friend, Mara Puerner, who lives in Vero Beach. She has always been a fitness inspiration to me and I greatly admire her body.
What were your doubts and fears before starting the program?
Before starting the program I was worried that I wouldn’t stick to it.
What made you say YES anyway?
But I said yes anyways because I was ready for a change and I’m not afraid to jump in and try new things.
Life After KickStart
Where is your body/mind now?
Fast forward 2 years from when I first started with TKN, I just had a baby 4 months ago. I worked hard with Ben prior to my pregnancy and was in the best shape of my life. Sadly I did not stick with the program during my pregnancy and did no tracking or exercise for 9 months. I gained 68 pounds. I could not wait to get back on track with Ben. I started back with this challenge 8 weeks postpartum and wanted to lose 40 pounds. Since then I’ve lost 20 pounds. I am starting to feel like myself again. I’m halfway there! My 40th birthday in 2 months and I would love nothing more than to reach or be close to my goal then.
How does that make you feel?
All of that makes me feel so proud and excited for the future!
What are you able to do now that you were not able to do before (mentally, emotionally, or physically)?
Now I have a better relationship with food. I am able to enjoy the foods I love and have the satisfaction of fitting them into my plan. That feels damn good.
The Ripple Effect
What positive impact did that have on others around you that you might not have expected?
My healthier relationship with food has trickled down to my family members and I find them consistently making better choices.
Stacy’s Words to You
What would you tell someone who is reading this right now and is unsure about taking the next step?
Do one thing everyday that scares you. The bigger the risk the bigger the reward.
