Life Before KickStart
How was your body before Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
I had lost a lot of weight (22 lbs) during a 2-month training in Peru and lost muscle mass as well. It asked for a reset and I wanted to slowly build my body back up but with a difference, healthier, on purpose and with the goal that I would be leaner then when I left for Peru and also to sustain good health until I am 105.
How did that (state of being) make you feel?
I was not at my strongest point at the end. I felt weak, little endurance, little strength, and at the same time very clear in what I would like for the future
Was there anything you were unable to do that you wish you could have done?
I was out of breath very quickly, It was hard to walk for a significant distance, I also broke my foot in May and it was still recovering. I could only lift 1 kg for a biceps curl which was not what I wanted.
Just feeling fit and healthy is what I wanted to feel.
During that time, how did your current state of being affect those around you?
That was fine. Everyone knew I was on a journey and despite the weightloss, people saw the two months had done me good. They see my action now I am on this program and encourage me from the sideline.
The Moment Everything Changed
How did you hear about Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
From the book the Comfort Crisis (which I read in Peru)
What were your doubts and fears before starting the program?
LOL, that the videos with Dr. Kashey would be too much for me as I like gentle voices (not loud), and slower speech and they sent me a preview of something before I started the program.
On the other hand, I like his directness and no BS (believe systems). The truth is liberating and I can handle that part of his messages.
What made you say YES anyway?
It all came from my experience in Peru and the urgency by which it presented it to me over there. This program seemed structured.
Life After KickStart
Where is your body/mind now?
I am really enjoying being alive, making choices for the better, pausing a lot more.
I got clarity through the many assignments (I must admit that it was a lot of work to do it properly), my mindset is changing.
My body is fitter, I can walk a lot more, and ruck, and the exercises made sure I have more muscle definition again.
I feel good.
How does that make you feel?
Jolly good, energetic, clear, aware, appreciated by my affiliations, more self-respect and self-worth, and taking responsibility for my own actions.
What are you able to do now that you were not able to do before (mentally, emotionally, or physically)?
Physically a lot has changed. I am stronger, fitter and look better.
Mentally I was given a lot of tools to work with to have a mindset and language to move forward instead of stagnating.
Emotionally it also helped to see things from a different angle.
Most of the stuff I “knew” in my head but the program made me embody it and that made it alive.
The Ripple Effect
What positive impact did that have on others around you that you might not have expected?
They feel motivated to look at their nutrition, activity, where they are with purpose
Kristine’s Words to You
What would you tell someone who is reading this right now and is unsure about taking the next step?
Growth rarely feels comfortable at first. But if something inside you is even slightly curious, that isn’t random. That is your intuition nudging you. You just have to be willing to take the next step. The version of you on the other side of this decision is stronger, clearer and more connected than you can imagine to happen in 12 weeks. Waiting until you are 100% sure can keep you stuck forever. Take the step. You’ll thank yourself later.
