Life Before KickStart
How was your body before Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
My body was pretty good. I have been working with a coach for 3 years. I just felt stuck in the same loop of sabotage and not able to maintain progress when I did make some. I was soft in the middle 20% body fat and wanted to be 18% body fat.
How did that (state of being) make you feel?
I felt ok but like I wasn’t reaching my full potential. I wanted to be healthier and leaner. I felt frustrated, stuck and like I just kept doing the same things over and over again.
Was there anything you were unable to do that you wish you could have done?
Full push ups have always been a struggle for me, this last week I was able to do 4 sets of 8 off my knees.
During that time, how did your current state of being affect those around you?
I was not as happy as I could be. I lacked energy and excitement sometimes.
The Moment Everything Changed
How did you hear about Trevor Kashey Nutrition?
I heard about TKN from reading Michael Easter’s book The Comfort Crisis and heard about it there.
What were your doubts and fears before starting the program?
That it would be a lot of money spent and no progress made. Could I make the changes to get the progress I wanted?
What made you say YES anyway?
I said yes because I felt like I was close to where I wanted to be. I lacked the mindset skills and the fact that the price was refundable if you did the work gave me enough incentive to go for it.
Life After KickStart
Where is your body/mind now?
My body has leaned down. While the scale has made slight improvments I have way less inflamation and my clothes fit better! My mind has shifted to knowing I am on a journey, not seeking a destination. This is a way of living that will last for me. I enjoy prelogging and have less decisions to make each day. I feel like my mind has less to worry about.
How does that make you feel?
Happy! I love understanding how my actions are affecting my biology. I can see where changes happen with the food, water, sleep and movement. It is rewarding!
What are you able to do now that you were not able to do before (mentally, emotionally, or physically)?
Full Pushups are great!
The Ripple Effect
What positive impact did that have on others around you that you might not have expected?
I am easier to be around. I don’t let stress be an excuse to drag down myself or others around me!
Jackie’s Words to You
What would you tell someone who is reading this right now and is unsure about taking the next step?
I would say commit to yourself, put in the work and learn about yourself. You are capable of living the life you want. Action is the first step!
